VEX IQ 2026-2027
Level UpOur current season: precision stacking and reliable autonomy.
Level Up asks robots to place and stack scoring elements on a shared field, so accuracy matters more than raw speed. Two squads are prototyping in parallel and will merge the best subsystems into a single competition build.
Our engineering plan for this season has three tracks. First, drivetrain repeatability: a robot that lands within a centimetre of its target every run is worth more than a fast robot that misses. Second, a modular manipulator so we can swap scoring mechanisms between matches without rebuilding. Third, an autonomous routine written as small, individually testable behaviours rather than one long script.
Students keep an engineering notebook for every iteration - what changed, what we expected, and what actually happened.
