Autonomous systems
Sensor fusion, gyro-corrected driving and closed-loop control - the same ideas that steer self-driving cars, scaled down to a classroom table.
Power Robotics is a youth robotics program in Mason, Ohio. Our students design, build, code and compete with autonomous robots - and along the way they learn how real engineers think: test an idea, measure what happened, and iterate until it works. We currently compete in VEX IQ as team 88477.
VEX IQ · Level Up
Sensor fusion, gyro-corrected driving and closed-loop control - the same ideas that steer self-driving cars, scaled down to a classroom table.
Every design is a hypothesis. We build variants, run them head to head, log the numbers, and let the data pick the winner.
Students learn how machines perceive, decide and learn, so that the tools reshaping their world are something they can build with rather than just consume.
Season updates, competition results and what our students are working on right now.
Our squads have moved to VEX IQ for 2026-2027 and are prototyping scoring mechanisms for the Level Up field. First build reviews start this month.
On April 2nd, 2026, Mayor Aftab Pureval visited INTAC & ICGC to honor local robotics teams—including Ohio VEX IQ State Champions—for their exceptional achievements…
Our students closed out the year with awards across regional and state competition, earned on robot performance, research and teamwork alike.
Our students ran hands-on robotics sessions for elementary classes and presented their research to local historians and museum staff.
