Cincinnati Mayor Honors Local VEX IQ State Champions at INTAC & ICGC Celebration

CINCINNATI, OH — April 2, 2026 — Dedication, technical rigor, and community support took center stage on April 2nd as Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval joined community leaders, students, and families at INTAC & ICGC to celebrate local robotics teams heading to the State and World Championships.

Among those recognized was our team, fresh off their victory at the Ohio VEX IQ State Championship at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The Mayor's visit marked a significant milestone for the young engineers, whose months of relentless mechanism design, sensor integration, and strategic teamwork earned them the state title and a spot on the global stage.

The celebration extended beyond competition trophies, emphasizing the vital role that local community hubs play in empowering the next generation of innovators. By providing space, resources, and encouragement, organizations like INTAC & ICGC help turn a passion for science and technology into actionable skills and leadership.

During the event, Mayor Pureval commended the students for their perseverance, problem-solving abilities, and representation of Cincinnati's bright future in STEM.

"Honored to welcome Mayor Aftab Pureval to INTAC & ICGC as we celebrated Cincinnati’s outstanding Robotics teams reaching the State and World Championships," event organizers shared. "This moment goes beyond recognition—it reflects what happens when a community comes together to invest in innovation, leadership, and the future of our youth. By opening our doors and uplifting these learners, we reaffirm our commitment to making Cincinnati a hub for excellence in education, STEM, and character. We are proud to lead, serve, and create opportunities, because when our learners rise, our entire city rises with them."

For our team, the Mayor's recognition serves as both a proud culmination of their state championship run and an inspiring launchpad as they prepare to represent their community at the VEX Robotics World Championship.
